The free LexicEN English Offline Dictionary & Thesaurus (Lite Version) was added as a resource to the Research and Reference page. A strength of this dictionary is that it works offline and is free.
Teachers with younger children will like the Dictionary for Kids app. This app includes kid friendly definition and images. The app works offline or online. This new dictionary was added as a resource to the Research and Reference page.
When teachers are selecting dictionary apps to compare for the comparison of dictionaries assignment, they may opt to select dictionaries listed in resources as an alternative choice.
NearPod has been added as a resource in the Other Resources section on the Assessment Thing. Students access a teacher hosted session which can include an assessment slide or slides. These slides can include multiple choice, essay, or drawing/ labeling questions. This app has a free and premium version. Content can be created by the teacher or is available for free or purchase on the Nearpod website.
Padlet has been added to the Collaboration Thing in Other Resources. We plan to move it up as one of the alternatives for this assignment, ask your instructor if you can use it as an example of using the iPad for Collaboration. Padlet does not have an app. However a user can make a home screen shortcut from the browser.

Posts is a versatile free app that allows you to publish blog posts from the iPad to a Wordpress or Blogger account. During the week of 1/27/14 it was not available in iTunes. That issue appears to now be resolved!
Grab this app while it's free and enjoy posting with multimedia directly from your device!
Don't forget to add the Thing category to each post!
A page titled "Hosting Sites" was created to provide a link to websites used to support participants taking 21 Things 4 iPads from their local provider. To get a link to your site added to this list, contact one of the 21 Things 4 iPads steering committee. This page was moved to the bottom of the list.
The MAISD Resources were removed from the site. Many of these resources have been moved to the specific MAISD 21 Things 4 iPads site. The .pdf version of the rubrics have been relocated to the password protected Teacher Resources page. The Timelogs has been updated to 2014. A 21 Things 4 iPads Assignment Status - a Google Spreadsheet was created as a blank template which can be copied and customized for those teaching the series. A link to this can be found in the Teacher Resources page. A link to the sample blogs created by the pilot group of teachers can be found under the "Using Google Drive for Record Keeping"; and links to the archive of the webinars recorded from the pilot can be found on the Teacher Resources page.
